This course focuses on the various situations in which foreigners living in Japan have to communicate with the Japanese and gives insights into life in the country. It provides students to express basic ideas clearly, demonstrate how to use basic written and spoken language for different purposes.<\/div>\n

The Japanese course consists of a review of grammar, vocabulary building, and expansion of Kanji. The difference between spoken and written Japanese is introduced.<\/div>\n

This course includes reading authentic materials (newspapers, periodicals, novels, etc.), discussing the materials in Japanese, and writing compositions. Students will learn the various ways of constructing Japanese sentences.
